Scrap your usual workout routine and swap it for a playful activity that gets you moving – and, more importantly, smiling! Here are some ideas to spark your inner joyful mover:
- Dance Like Nobody’s Watching (Except Maybe Your Neighbor’s Cat): Salsa, Zumba, even ballet! Sign up for a dance class that piques your interest and rediscover the joy of grooving to the beat. Bonus points for channeling your inner Beyonce in the living room after class.
- Bounce Back to Childhood: Forget the fancy gym memberships, the pure joy of jumping on a trampoline is priceless! Head to your local trampoline park and relive some childhood magic. Trust us, your inner child (and maybe your actual muscles) will thank you.

Double the Play!
Set two play timers this week for a double dose of fun! Schedule one for your chosen joyful movement activity, and set a surprise “spontaneous play” timer to go off randomly throughout the day. When that second timer beeps, stop what you’re doing and get moving for a few minutes! Skipping, silly dance moves, or even just twirling around the room – surprise yourself with a burst of playful movement!
